Throughout the Rotary year we work on a range of projects that support our local community of Langport & Somerton, national projects through RIBI and international projects often in collaboration with other Rotary Clubs in District 1200


Since 1st July 2016 to 1st January 2017 we have given to the following organisations:-

£3,080            Forget-Me-Not Memory Café
£1,000            Prostate Cancer UK 

£1,000            Macmillan UK 
£1,000            bibic (Langport-based charity)
£1,000            Children of Fiji

£450               World Water Works
£120               UNICEF Syrian Children appeal

£100               Progressio (Voluntary Service Overseas)


These are the types of projects we also support and we are open to applications for funds or projects to support in our local community:-


Provided small burseries to support young people travel around the globe for their educational and vocational enhancement.


Provided support to a local volunteer group who hosted a Christmas Day lunch to those in our community with no family or friends to share the special day with.


Helped Curry Rivel Guides buy new tents to support their personal development.


We are active supporters of the District's young people's projects, particularly Youth Speaks and Kids Out


Support projects overseas including "School in a Bag" and "Worldwide Waterboxes"


2016/17 sees us supporting the Nepal Trust and BIBIC as the two key projects chosen by our President, Mike Gillingham.
